A "Tea for Tom" was held at St. John's Anglican Church, Bowmanville on Sat. Nov. 7, 2009 in appreciation for the ministry of Canon Tom Gracie, former Rector of St. John's and retired since 1997 to Bowmanville. Tom was in good form and Betty found the whole event, 'energizing', with about 80 family and friends visiting. The cake inscription captured the theme, 'I thank my God in every remembrance of you. Phil. 1:3'
